【和訳/解説】♪The Nights – 洋楽和訳で英語学習

はじめに

洋楽を使って英語学習をしようというコンセプトで、私が好きな洋楽と、その曲中に出てくる単語、表現などを紹介していきます。

最初に一通り和訳した後に、解説が書かれているので、和訳だけが必要なんだよ！という人はそちらをご覧ください。

若くして亡くなったAviciiですが、彼がもっとも音楽を通じて伝えたかったことが詰まっている曲のような気がしてならないのがこの「The Nights」です。

私がなぜこのように思うのかが、和訳を通じて少しでも伝わったとしたら、とても嬉しいです！

終わりに

Aviciiは裕福な家庭に生まれており、母親に至っては有名女優です。
そんな金銭的アドバンテージを全く活かすことができず、才能と結果だけが求められる修羅の道である音楽に進もうとした彼を、父が心強く励ますとともに、応援している歌詞に心打たれますね。

そして、今となっては、Avicii自身が、リスクを顧みず、危険に飛び込んで夢を追う人々を励ます側になって、この世を去ったということは、まさに歌詞を体現しており、感嘆の念が尽きません。

くじけそうになったときは、この曲を聴きなおしてみようと和訳していて、強く感じさせられた曲でした。
